IDCE announces call for nominations for National Resilience Leadership Award

Presented annually at the International Disaster Conference and Expo (February 10-12, 2015, New Orleans, LA), the second annual William H. Webster Award for National Resilience Leadership will be presented to current and former practitioners in the emergency response and disaster preparedness industry who have made outstanding contributions to the field. The award, named for the Honorable William H. Webster, is presented to an individual who best embodies his vision and leadership in the development and implementation of resilience as America’s critical infrastructure, enterprise, community, and regional preparedness goal, operating condition, and National Security Imperative.

The inaugural award recipient and its namesake, Judge William H. Webster, former CIA and FBI Director, and Chair of the Homeland Security Advisory Council, was cited for his exemplary vision and leadership in leading the creation, national introduction, growing acceptance and implementation of an advanced, operationally proven, comprehensive, objectively measurable, manageable, achievable and sustainable critical infrastructure, enterprise, community, regional, national and global preparedness standard and operating condition: resilience. His pioneering efforts have underscored the need for resilience in critical infrastructure, business, community and the nation.

Deadline for nominations is December 5, 2014. For more information on the award and to submit a nomination, please click here.
