Telefónica gains ISO 22301 certification for all UK operations

BSI has awarded Telefónica UK certification to ISO 22301, the international standard for business continuity management launched in May 2012. Telefónica’s ISO 22301 certification covers all of its UK operations.

“Achieving ISO22301 certification with the BSI is evidence of our commitment to our stakeholders, customers and our staff. The BSI review of our management system against ISO22301 enables us to be able to evidence our capability and preparedness for any disruption to our services or operations” commented David Clarke, Telefónica UK Business Continuity Manager.

“Recent global research sponsored by BSI shows that companies with business continuity management systems not only mitigate risk to protect their brands but also reported improvements in business resilience and ability to meet customer requirements,” said Suzanne Fribbins, product manager for BSI’s Risk Portfolio. “We are delighted to be working with Telefónica UK to help improve the integrity and resilience of the business.”
