Payments Contingency Exercise 2010 report available

The Payments Council has published a report which summarises the key findings from the UK Payments Contingency Exercise (PCE10) which took place on 8 November 2010.

PCE10 was designed primarily to allow participants to test contingency arrangements for incidents that cross two or more Schemes; to put into practice processes that had only been worked on in theory; and to identify areas for improvement.

The exercise was managed by a group comprising representatives from VocaLink, Bacs, FPS, LINK, UK Payments and the Financial Authorities. Over 50 organizations participated on the day. The Financial Authorities took the opportunity to deliver their annual Authorities Business Continuity Exercise in tandem with the Payments Contingency Exercise.
