DRI International has published the latest edition of its annual Global Risk and Resilience Trends Report. Authored by the DRI Future Vision Committee, the report provides a global view of resilience trends and is based on a survey of certified resilience professionals.
One of the key outputs from the report is the Resilience Index, which shows the current top 10 resilience issues as defined by the survey respondents. These are:
- Cyber events
- IT disruptions
- Financial conditions
- Human resource issues
- Misuse of data
- Infectious diseases
- Natural disasters
- Supply chain issues
- Increased regulation
- Major incidents to facilities
An emerging and serious longer-term strategic issue came to light as part of this survey: the threat to data security posed by the advancement in quantum computing and the possible vulnerability of the global financial system.
There was also increasing concern about the ability of many organizations to embed a corporate resilience culture and supporting policies into their business models. This issue was global, equally concerning in North America and Europe as it was in Asia and Africa.
