PANTA RAY, in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano School of Management, has published the first instalment of a series of documents looking at resilience strategies for complex supply chains.
The study ‘offers practitioners real world examples to get relevant insights on how different structures and levels of complexity of the supply chain can influence, positively or negatively, the response and recovery to a disruption’.
The series of documents will build a library of 16 case studies of global organizations that suffered supply chain incidents and demonstrated different levels of supply chain resilience.
The documents will also explore the keys to a successful response, which include:
- Avoid geographical concentration
- Collaboration
- Addressing single point of failures (SPOFs)
- Visibility
- Communication plans/brand management
- Cross functional teams
- Risk and threat assessment
- Contingency plans.
