Researchers suggest a new supply chain risk propagation model

Researchers from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology have written a paper which presents a new way to model the risk propagation mechanism of supply chain risk.

In ‘Supply chain risk propagation model considering the herd mentality mechanism and risk preference’ Liang’an Huo, Hongyuan Guo, and Yingying Cheng describe how the mean field theory can be used as the basis of a supply chain risk propagation model.

The authors also consider the herd mentality mechanism and risk preference in the propagation model and the degree that these will affect the spread of supply chain risk.
