The Senior Director of Emergency Management is responsible for the full spectrum of the emergency management life-cycle within the Walmart, Inc. enterprise as it pertains to natural disasters, man-made disasters, security related events and public health threats. This includes enterprise business continuity/crisis planning, preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery.
The Senior Director works with leadership internally and externally (i.e., government agencies, nonprofits, private companies, and organizations) to maintain a crisis structure that efficiently and effectively brings out the best possible outcomes during disaster situations.
The Senior Director must develop innovative ways to identify great efficiencies to ensure that plans, preparations, and responses meet local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
The Senior Director works closely with executive leadership across Global Security and Global Governance, Risk and Compliance to ensure alignment between Business Continuity Plans and IT Disaster Recovery plans.
