The Risk and Business Continuity Officer will engage and consult with the FM and Lab Ops departments to identify critical business processes, timeframes and dependencies, and will assess and support business practices to look at alternative responses and recovery strategies. The role will be key to the development and implementation of staff training and awareness packages, policies, frameworks and related processes.
With a focus on continuous improvement and developing a proactive resilience culture, the RBCO will possess the ability to readily adapt to changing priorities in the organisation's strategic goals and risk profile and will work collectively with stakeholders ranging from operational employees to the Leadership Team. They will play an active role supporting the business in the principles of risk management, emergency management, and business continuity.
This position requires thoughtful solutions and will experience some conflicting priorities. There will be a need to determine creative and innovative solutions that enhance business resilience. Established policies and procedures will be referred to where they exist and complex issues can be resolved by consulting with the Heads of Lab Ops and Facilities.
