How-to guides published for improving information security in law firms
Law firm information managers now have a blueprint to create policies and processes for securing information and making it available to clients and lawyers alike. Written by information management professionals from top US law firms, two new reports, ‘Building Law Firm Information Governance: Prime Your Processes’ and ‘Emerging Trends in Law Firm Information Governance,’ focus on how their industry manages, secures and accesses client and firm information.

Published by Iron Mountain, the reports are products of a three-day symposium held in March.

SunGard announces second quarter 2013 results
SunGard has reported results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2013. For the second quarter, revenue was $1.0 billion, down 4 percent year over year. Operating income was $111 million in the quarter, up 5 percent year over year, driven by a 5 percent decline in total costs and expenses. Availability Services revenue was $344 million in the second quarter, down 2 percent year over year. Year to date, revenue was $689 million, also down 2 percent year over year. Iron Mountain reports second quarter 2013 results
Iron Mountain has reported financial and operating results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2013. Total reported revenues were $755 million, compared with $752 million in 2012. Adjusted OIBDA was $233 million, compared with $239 million in 2012. For the year to date, total reported revenues and Adjusted OIBDA were consistent with the same period in 2012 at approximately $1.5 billion and $460 million, respectively.
