Berkshire Business Continuity Week
The week beginning 28th November is ‘Berkshire Business Continuity Week’. This is a joint promotion between local emergency planners and the Business Continuity Institute. Events will include seminars covering: ‘What is Business Continuity?’ and ‘How Local Authorities and the BCI can help’ and providing an open forum for local businesses to ask questions. Seminars will take place on 28th November in Bracknell, 29th November in Reading and 30th November in Newbury. Business Forum on Serious Crime launched in London
A new body has been launched which will act as an interface between the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), London businesses and London's 'Asian-owned' businesses. The Business Forum on Serious Crime, which will be based at the London Chamber of Commerce, is being set-up as a specific response to the 7th July attacks. It will meet once a quarter and will disseminate information from the MPS to the people who run businesses in the capital. It will also provide feedback to the police both from 'Asian-owned' businesses and the business community in general.
