Western UK faces flooding during this week
Weather forecast website, metcheck.com, has warned that there is a high likelihood of severe flooding in the west of the UK from the middle of the week onwards. Northern England, Western England, Wales and Scotland are all at risk, as a frontal system becomes stationary across the British Isles. Rainfall of up to 100mm over a 48 hour period is possible in various locations.

SunGard Availability Services appoints new head of UK sales
SAS has appointed Stephen Foster, a veteran of the IT industry, to lead its UK sales force.  Foster will report to SunGard Availability Services’ UK managing director and senior vice president Europe, Keith Tilley. Prior to joining SunGard, Foster was a European vice president at Dendrite (formerly Synavant) a provider of CRM, medical data and marketing services for the pharmaceutical industry where he managed Northern Europe and marketing.  Before Dendrite, Foster was the European vice president of Clickmarks Inc and executive vice president EMEA for Eyretel plc.
