Marsh teams compete for Microsoft UK Challenge trophy
Two teams from Marsh are taking the high road to Scotland next month to participate in the sixth annual Microsoft UK Challenge. The four-day challenge, which will take place in Ayrshire and the Isle of Arran from 7-11 June, is specifically designed to test stamina, strength, intelligence and core team skills, while raising funds for the NSPCC. Marsh’s seven-strong men and women teams will go head to head with 125 teams from 67 leading UK companies, public sector and charity organisations.

Phoenix IT Group publishes annual results: business continuity earnings strong
Phoenix IT Group plc, the parent company of NDR, the UK-based business continuity services provider, has announced its preliminary results for the year ended 31 March 2006. Altogether, the company’s turnover was up 23.3 percent to £108.9m, including £16.0m from NDR (2005: £88.3m). Profit before tax was up 61.9 percent to £17.9m (2004: £11.1m). Commenting on these results, Nick Robinson, chief executive of Phoenix , said: “We are pleased to see the benefits of our strategy of focusing on niche markets coming through in these results, in particular the focus on smaller, more complex and higher margin IT service contracts and our NDR business which continues to perform strongly.” http://www.ndr.co.uk

Neverfail appoints new non-executive chairman
The Neverfail Group has announced the appointment of Karen Slatford as its new non-executive Chairman. Her appointment will enable Neverfail Group CEO Neil Robertson to spend additional time growing the business worldwide. Neverfail tripled its worldwide revenue during the company's fiscal year ending March 31, 2006 . Slatford currently serves as executive chairman for HAL Knowledge Solutions, an Italian-headquartered business intelligence software vendor; as a non-executive chairman for Portwise AB, a Swedish security software company; and as non-executive director of The Listening Company, a UK-based company focused on the outsourced call centre market.
