Speculation about serious drought in South East England ‘not misplaced’: minister
Environment and Climate Change Minister Elliot Morley has told businesses in South East England that the risk of a serious drought this summer is very real. Mr Morley said: "Speculation this week about the prospect of serious drought across the region is not misplaced. Only a joint effort from every one of us to understand what we can do, and then do it, will reduce the risk of shortages should this period of low rainfall extend to the summer.”
