Sainsbury's starts supplier business continuity vetting
Sainsbury's has started a drive to ensure that its key suppliers have business continuity plans in place. "It is a massive piece of work. Given that Sainsbury's deals with 2,500 suppliers, we are focusing on those that are most critical to our operations," said Steve Mellish, head of business continuity at Sainsbury's. Latest UK occupational health statistics published
The Health and Safety Executive has published new statistics on work-related ill health in Great Britain. In 2004, as in previous years, the most common types of work related illness were: musculoskeletal disorders, affecting mainly the back and upper limbs and mental ill health, which consisted mostly of stress, depression and anxiety.
