The concept of the maximum tolerable period of disruption (MTPD) was introduced within BS 25999, the British Standard for business continuity management.
Since its introduction there has been some discussion about how to calculate MTPDs and how useful they are in practice.
This quick survey seeks to find out how widespread MTPD use is, how it is being used and what business continuity professionals think of the concept.
