LiveVault expands into UK and continental Europe

Get free weekly news by e-mailLiveVault Corporation has announced that it is extending its global presence by providing online data protection to businesses in the European Union. LiveVault, through its European partner ImperaData, has established a presence in the UK to enable EU customers to back up their data using LiveVault Online Backup and Recovery Service.

The LiveVault Online Backup and Recovery Service is sold and supported to customers headquartered in the EU through ImperaData and its resellers, including BT, which markets the service as BT Datasure. LiveVault works by automatically and continuously backing up business server data via an Internet connection and storing it in a secure off-site location, where it is available for immediate recovery.

The UK data centre assures that companies with operations in both North America and the EU will be able to back up their critical servers to a regional data centre, ensuring faster recovery times. LiveVault provides such companies with a worldwide view of all their distributed servers. From a single LiveVault website, multinational companies can view and restore data to any server anywhere in the world, even if different local vaulting facilities store the backup files.
