Continuity, a UK-based independent business continuity consultancy,
has announced that it has won a major contract with Transport for
London (TfL), the integrated body responsible for managing the capital’s
transport system. Garrison Continuity will be developing a business
continuity programme as part of a wider strategy to help keep London
moving in the event of a major disruption.
The programme will ensure that plans are in place to cope with a
range of disruptions such as the loss of a building, IT or key staff.
This will complement TfL’s ability to cope in such an event
and help deliver London’s integrated transport strategy.
As well as developing the business continuity strategy and plans,
Garrison Continuity will be carrying out full testing to ensure
their viability and ensure that TfL staff fully understand their
responsibilities. Ongoing plan maintenance will accommodate any
changes and help embed the culture of business continuity throughout
the organisation as it evolves.
