‘Business
Continuity Planning’ is an intensive, hands-on, five-day workshop
presented by the Institute for Business Continuity Planning in London.
Using lectures, group work, and in-depth case studies, the workshop
explores all aspects of business continuity planning, from project
initiation right through to testing and maintaining the plan.
Topics covered include:
- Establishing and managing a business continuity program
- Generally accepted business continuity 'best practices'
- Risk assessment
- Business impact analysis
- BCP strategy development
- Business resumption planning
- Plan templates and software tools
- Evaluating commercial recovery services
- Developing a crisis management plan
- Validating and maintaining business continuity plans
- Techniques for training and exercising business continuity teams
- Plan maintenance and evaluation
- Auditing the business continuity program
- Case study and table top exercise of a complete business continuity
plan.
Course participants receive electronic working
tools and templates for a variety of activities, such as conducting
a business impact analysis. In addition, they receive a complete
business continuity plan which can be used as a template for their
own organisation.
The workshop covers the 10 BCI standards for
business continuity management and supports PAS 56. Participants
receive CEU credits for 40 hours of contact time.
