UK-based
ICM Computer Group plc has acquired ITM Support Services, the IBM
Support division of ITM Group Limited.
ITM
is an independent provider of support for IBM mid-range IT systems.
It employs 48 staff and has some 500 customers throughout the UK,
ranging from mid-sized companies and professional firms to larger
corporates.
ICM is paying an initial £3.5 million
in cash, with a further sum of up to £3.0 million payable
based on contract renewals and new business wins from existing prospects
over the next 12 months.
Mike Osborne, ICM Recovery Services’
operations director explained what impact the acquisition will have
on ICM's business continuity services. “The acquisition of
ITM Support Services significantly enhances ICM’s existing
services for IBM mid-range customers." he said. "It extends
our engineer workforce and enables us to offer a wider range of
skills, taking us into the top tier of IBM mid-range business continuity
providers.”
ICM offers tailored disaster recovery services
for AS400 / RS600 systems, including relocatable, workplace, on-line
and mobile recovery solutions.
