XOsoft releases WANSync(HA) high availability platform

Get free weekly news by e-mailXOsoft, a provider of business continuity software solutions, has announced that it has enhanced its WANSync IT continuity platform. The company's new WANSync(HA) provides high availability through the use of application-aware automatic failover across wide area and local area networks, including across multiple IP networks.

WANSync(HA) maintains identical replicas of complete database and application servers through continuous real-time replication. Should a server fail or have to be shut down for maintenance, a synchronised replica, whether in the same office or halfway around the globe, will instantaneously and automatically take its place to maintain high service availability.

"WANSync(HA) surpasses traditional failover solutions by breaking through geographical, technical and network topology-imposed barriers," says Leonid Shtilman, CEO and chairman of XOsoft. "WANSync(HA)'s seamless failover functionality ensures that should a server fail or have to be brought down, service will automatically and instantaneously be picked up by a LAN or WAN-based replica, even if it resides on a different IP network. Businesses retain continued, uninterrupted access to their information resources and employees are able to just keep working."

The new platform comprises a number of application-aware solutions, specifically tailored for industry-standard database and application servers. WANSync(HA) Server provides seamless global availability for application servers of any type, while WANSync(HA) Exchange, WANSync(HA) SQL and WANSync(HA) Oracle provide high availability for Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL and Oracle servers, respectively.
