LiveVault granted three patents for online backup and recovery service

LiveVault Corporation has announced that the company has been granted three new patents relating to its ‘Online Backup and Recovery Service’. These new patents further protect LiveVault’s technology and bring the total of patents owned by the company to nine.

The new patents issued by the US Patent and Trademark Office are:
* Patent US6460055 for a system for creating backup files for data files stored on a computer network.

* Patent US6526418 for systems and methods for backing up one or more data files.

* Patent US6625623 for systems, methods, and processes for backing up one or more data files.

The LiveVault Online Backup and Recovery Service continuously backs up business server data via a secure Internet connection, and immediately stores it in a secure, off-site Iron Mountain facility, where it is available for immediate, and guaranteed, recovery.
