Private firms’ security spending on the increase

The Daily Oklahoman has reported that, according to a survey by Wilson Research Strategies, private US companies are spending more on security than they did two years ago.

The survey found that:
* 88 percent of senior business executives rate security as a top or high priority;
* Nearly 85 percent of surveyed executives reported their companies have adopted new security standards in the past 12 months;
* 83 percent conducted risk assessments in the past year.
