Evergreen Assurance utilises HP Blade Servers for on-demand disaster recovery service

Get free weekly news by e-mailEvergreen Assurance, Inc. has announced that it has integrated Hewlett-Packard ProLiant BL blade server technology into its Disaster Recovery Management System (DRMS) for customer-dedicated disaster recovery sites. The ProLiant BL servers enable Evergreen Assurance to deliver dedicated, one-click disaster recovery for business-critical applications.

The Evergreen DRMS provides companies with complete and remote control over the recovery process, which significantly reduces outage recovery time. Evergreen offers customers the ability to failover to a dedicated, secondary environment based on HP blade servers as often as necessary.

To support Evergreen's main service, Evergreen for Exchange, the HP ProLiant BL blade servers are used for Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory application recovery in the secondary environment. Blade servers require a smaller physical footprint and are rapidly deployable, which enables Evergreen to serve more customers per rack and implement customer recovery environments quickly.

Evergreen customers benefit from seamless and reliable transitions between primary and secondary environments using the Evergreen DRMS, as well as realising the hardware cost savings associated with using blade servers.
