ANSI-HSSP resiliency metrics roundtable
The American National Standards Institute Homeland Security Standards Panel (ANSI-HSSP) is to host a roundtable discussion that will look at resiliency metrics.
‘Resiliency Metrics: Standards, Test Labs & Methods, and Measuring Tools’ will take place on August 22 and will discuss current resilience standards and the possible creation of a new system for designating resilience. The event will be held at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans in conjunction with the 61st SES Annual Conference, overseen by SES – The Society for Standards Professionals, which is scheduled to take place August 19th-22nd in New Orleans.
The roundtable will examine current standards that touch on issues of resilience in a variety of relevant fields, including transportation and information technology.
In addition, the discussion will touch on methods of measuring resilience, as well as the possibility of creating public-private cooperative groups to establish a comprehensive certification and ratings system for designating resilience.
The roundtable format is intended to allow for significant attendee participation in the discussions.
All attendees must register with Jessica Carl, ANSI program administrator, standards panels (firstname.lastname@example.org; 212-642-4903), by Friday, August 17, 2012.
