Business Continuity Institute launches ‘The BCI Global Awards 2012’

The Business Continuity Institute has announced details of its main 2012 business continuity awards scheme, ‘The BCI Global Awards 2012.’

The BCI Global Awards will ‘recognise the outstanding achievements of business continuity professionals worldwide’ and ‘are a celebration of some of the amazing talent our industry has to offer’.

The Awards ceremony will take place on 7th November 2012, in London, at the Gala Dinner that ends day one of the BCI’s BCM World Conference and Exhibition 2012.

Entry to the BCI Global Awards are open to all business continuity professionals across the world. Winners of regional BCI Awards 2011 and 2012 will automatically be considered for the Global Awards.

There are six judged categories and one public vote category. This year sees the launch of two new judged categories - BCM Newcomer of the Year and Business Continuity Team of the Year - as well as the addition of Business Continuity Personality of the Year, which is decided by public vote.

The categories are:

Judged Categories

• Business Continuity Manager of the Year
• Public Sector BC Manager of the Year
• Business Continuity Consultant of the Year
• Most Effective Recovery of the Year
• New for 2012 - BCM Newcomer of the Year
• New for 2012 - Business Continuity Team of the Year

Public Vote Category

• Business Continuity Personality of the Year

The deadline for entries is Friday 7th September 2012.
