Florida faces major flooding disaster
FEMA, the Red Cross and other agencies are already responding to widespread flooding incidents in Florida, but the situation is likely to deteriorate significantly as Tropical Storm Debby stalls over the area.
Debby is expected to produce as much as 25 inches of rain over the next few days; rainfall which is likely to generate a major flooding disaster.
Residents of low-lying areas are under mandatory evacuations, many roads and bridges are closed and power outages are adding to the difficulties.
