BS ISO/IEC 27031:2011 now available

The latest business continuity standard, BS ISO/IEC 27031:2011, can now be purchased from the BSI.

BS ISO/IEC 27031, officially titled ‘Information technology. Security techniques. Guidelines for information and communication technology readiness for business continuity’ replaces the BS 25777:2008 ICT continuity management code of practice.

BS ISO/IEC 27031 has a wider scope than BS 25777 and utilises the Plan, Do, Check, Act approach. It also seeks to integrate information security, IT disaster recovery and business continuity management in relation to ‘ICT readiness’.

The new standard costs £170 for non-BSI members and £85 for members.
