Strike contingency planning consultant expands

Canada's leading supplier of labour dispute services has posted growth of nearly 1500 percent in the past five years as more corporations and governments seek to stay operational when their workforces go on strike.

After recently moving to a high tech, custom-built headquarters in Milton, Ont., AFI is now opening a division in downtown London, Ont. "More companies and governments are recognising a need to keep their operations running while unions exercise their right to strike," observes Darrell

AFI has opened a new London (Ontario) division, which will be headed by Geoff Warren, a senior management professional who brings 15 years of experience building successful business strategies for leading telecommunications companies.

Established in 1986, AFI's business has flourished since the repeal of legislation prohibiting replacement workers in Ontario. During a dispute, AFI handles everything from security on the picket line, to recruiting replacement workers for continued operations and ensuring the safe transport of personnel and product.
