Forrester has published a new report which looks at the business continuity and disaster recovery market and presents the results of a survey of 2,803 IT decision-makers.
‘Business Continuity And Disaster Recovery Are Top IT Priorities For 2010 And 2011’ by Stephanie Balaouras finds that six percent of IT operating and capital budgets goes to business continuity and disaster recovery.
According to the survey developing business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities is the number one priority for SMBs and the second highest priority for enterprises for the next 12 months.
The scope of business continuity and disaster recovery programs is also growing, says the report: mature programs address all sources of downtime — including mundane power outages and weather-related disruptions, not just rare, catastrophic disasters.
