The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Homeland Security Standards Panel (HSSP) has announced that its ninth annual plenary will be held on November 9-10, 2010, in Arlington, VA. This year's meeting will focus on the need for new or revised standards for crisis management, aviation, border and maritime security, and global supply chain security.
Leaders, experts, federal agencies, standards developers, and other relevant stakeholders from both the US and Europe will convene to share information related to these subjects to develop a gap analysis and identify what is working and what may not be working to the extent desired.
The ANSI-HSSP Plenary provides the opportunity for the homeland security, emergency preparedness, and business continuity communities (public sector, private sector, and standards developing organizations) to come together to discuss current issues and challenges, strategic approaches, recent successes, and future outlooks.
