AdaptivCool has launched ‘HotSpotr HT-510’, an intelligent fan-assisted floor tile which helps to prevent damaging hot spots developing within data centers.
The HT-510 works by creating a bubble of cold air in front of hot racks in a data center, thereby supplying cold air to servers and avoiding hot air recirculation. This cold air bubble is largely maintained even under a CRAC failure condition.
By eradicating hotspots, HotSpotr virtually eliminates equipment failure due to overheating, and therefore increases computer uptime and reduces the need to spend money on additional CRACs.
The HotSpotr HT-510 has performed well during early customer field trials and is available for immediate shipment.
