FEMA seeks comments on National Flood Insurance Program

FEMA is currently gathering feedback from National Flood Insurance Program stakeholders to gain input on the challenges related to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and possible solutions to those challenges.

The NFIP is a Federal program that was created by Congress in 1968. The program was designed to ensure that communities across the US have access to affordable flood insurance as well as encourage community floodplain management to reduce future flood damage.
