 SunGard Availability Services has been previewing the next evolution of its UK business continuity management software offerings. Called the ‘Continuity Management Solution’ (CMS), the new software will launch in the New Year, commencing with a ‘Risk Assessment’ module which will provide user organizations with an enhanced view of their risks and threats and how to prevent them.
The Risk Assessment module is the first of a number of new modules and will allow business continuity practitioners to capture and use a wide range of risk information to deliver enhanced business resilience. Highly automated, these modules – which integrate into SunGard’s existing software products BIA Professional and LDRPS –will ‘eliminate much of the time consuming processes associated with BC management’.
Risk Assessment is designed to provide a more granular view of internal and external risks to a business. It will assess the resilience of key departments, as well as suppliers, and the threats associated with incidents of terrorism and pandemics.
