Asia-Pacific Human Resources Conference 2003

Human resource professionals will meet in Hong Kong next month at the Asia-Pacific Human Resources Conference 2003. High on the agenda are discussions on how to limit the risk and impact of crises such as SARS.

The Conference Board event will be held on September 8th at the Grand Hyatt, Hong Kong. The meeting is sponsored by Towers Perrin and presented in association with Institute Human Resources Management, Personnel Management Association of the Philippines, PMSM Indonesia, Personnel Management Association of Thailand, and Asia Pacific Human Resources Association.

Relevant sessions to business continuity managers include:

* ‘HR strategies for coping specifically with SARS: a blue-print for the future,’ a panel discussion featuring Ramon Medina, managing director, Corporate Services, Ayala Corporation, Werner Krieger, senior vice president, human resources & corporate communications, Henkel Asia-Pacific Ltd., Shahrukh Marfatia, human resources director, Nokia (China) Investment Company Ltd., and Roy Massey, human resources director, CLP Power Hong Kong Ltd.
