The Business Continuity Institute has just announced that on 6th July it officially launched its latest Chapter, in Japan.
At a meeting in Tokyo, over 60 BCI members and CBCI holders, plus representatives of the business press, heard interviews with new board members, Mr Shinohara, Professor Watanabe and Mr Maede.
The BCI says that the chapter has been created to consolidate the success of an earlier informal BCM grouping called the BCIJA (Japanese
Alliance).
The BCI Japan Chapter already has eight Japanese partners (two corporate and six industry), which is the highest individual country number outside of the UK. Both the Good Practice Guide and the BCI Certificate examination have been translated into Japanese.
