The Flu Pandemic Game: a business continuity training resource

Get free weekly news by e-mailThe UK Department of Health has made the above resource freely available.

The Flu Pandemic Game was originally developed by Camden Primary Care Trust in partnership with Camden Council as a training resource for their staff and to help managers of local businesses and voluntary organizations develop their business continuity plans. The Department of Health has adapted the game and made it widely available.

The Flu Pandemic Game is for 3 to 8 players. The aim is to help players appreciate the impact of an influenza pandemic on their own organization by highlighting the potential effects on staffing.

The Flu Pandemic Game can be adapted easily to make it specific to your own organization and can be used to “raise general awareness of business continuity planning, to help your organization identify business continuity issues, or as a simulation exercise to test how your business continuity plan would work in practice.”

The Flu Pandemic Game may be copied, adapted and used by any UK organization for business continuity training or business continuity planning purposes.
