New chair for SunGard Availability Services advisory board

Julia Graham, group risk manager for Royal & SunAlliance and UK Business Continuity Personality of the Year, has been appointed chairman of SunGard Availability Services' Customer Advisory Board which provides a forum for effective two-way communication between SunGard and its customers.

Royal & SunAlliance has been a client of SunGard Availability Services for more than 10 years and Julia has also been a member of the Advisory Board for the last two years. She was recently awarded 'Business Continuity Personality of the Year' at the annual Business Continuity Awards in May 2003. She is a Board member of the BCI (Business Continuity Institute) and a Council member of AIRMIC (the Association of Insurance and Risk Managers).

Julia replaces Keith Southern, global contingency manager of Procter & Gamble, who is retiring from the position of chair following two terms in office.

* Richard McGrail, head of information systems, Baillie Gifford & Co
* Rob Martin, business continuity manager, Barclays Banks PLC
* Robert Dawson, system & application architecture manager, TNT Post Group.
