ICM Business Continuity Services Ltd has launched a new ‘Replication as a Service’ (RaaS) solution that gives clients “unrivalled recovery protection for their data over low bandwidth network connections”.
The ICM Data Replication Service utilises the latest virtualization software, storage and network architectures to ensure that users have the fastest possible access to their data during times of business interruption.
The flexible and technically advanced package is hosted in ICM’s secure regional business continuity centres and is available on a subscription basis.
"The launch of our Data Replication Service couldn’t come at a better time for company directors and IT managers", commented Mike Osborne, ICM’s MD. "The service has been designed to give businesses of any type the most robust support for their data and adds a level of business continuity security crucial to any organization. Ensuring data availability is essential and should lie at the heart of any business continuity strategy - it can prove the key to recovery success or failure.
“Through our off-site data replication software we give our clients peace of mind that their crucial files and information can be accessed quickly and with no fuss from our system. Whatever happens to interrupt a client’s operations we will have their data ready and waiting for them when they need it most."
ICM’s Data Replication Service allows clients to achieve a recovery time objective of less than one hour, and a recovery point objective up to the last transaction processed. As a managed service, clients only pay for the data capacity that requires protection, avoiding upfront capital expenditure, providing flexibility and ensuring a lower total cost of ownership.
