Writing a Business Continuity Plan Workshop
18 February 2009, Melbourne.
This workshop is aimed at professionals with a basic understanding of business continuity management. For newcomers, prior attendance of the Introductory BCM workshop is recommended. The workshop will include group work in creating a strategy and plan. Participants will be guided through the development of the recovery strategy, the creation of the strategy report and how to gain management approval. Participants then develop a sample recovery plan based on the strategy created. Strategy report and recovery plan templates are provided for the participants to use in their own organisations.

Emergency Management for Business and Industry Workshop
24 February 2009, Sydney.
The aim of the workshop is to provide participants with an understanding of emergency management. The outcomes of the workshop are to provide the participants with practical knowledge and understanding of:
* Concepts and principles of effective emergency management and its relationship with business continuity in the workplace;
* Key roles and responsibilities of the emergency responders;
* The all hazards and risks approach to emergency management;
* Keys to developing an emergency management plan; and
* Keys to testing emergency management plans and protocols.

Crisis Management Workshop

* Define the aim and objectives for conducting an effective exercise
* Prepare and conduct a crisis management for your organisation
* Appreciate the risk and challenges of conducting an exercise with your organisation
* Experience crisis management exercise options through discussion with experienced exercise facilitators.

Testing IT Disaster Recovery Plans
18 March 2008, Adelaide.
This workshop covers the fundamentals of planning for and executing IT disaster recovery tests. Delegates will gain an understanding of how IT disaster recovery fits into the overall crisis and business continuity management process and how the IT DR plan can be tested, either independently, or in conjugation with, business continuity testing. All delegates will be given an opportunity to plan and run a hypothetical exercise, based on a sample case study, and using DR scenarios and test templates provided during the course.
