The Australian Continuity Forum has announced that it has agreed a new cooperation agreement with the Australasian Chapter of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI). The purpose of this agreement is to encourage information exchange within membership of both organisations and to ensure better integration of resources and activities, and more effective representation of the business continuity industry in the region.
The first main collaboration in 2009 will be Business Continuity Awareness Week 2009, which will run from 23rd to 27th March 2009. During the week Continuity Forum and the BCI will work with KPMG to offer a series of events in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland and Wellington.
Additionally, The Third Annual Business Continuity Summit, organised by the BCI and Continuity Forum, will be held in Brisbane on Wednesday March 25th and Thursday 26th 2009. The Summit is the principal annual conference to address issues common to all aspects of business continuity and related disciplines, and it represents the highlight of Business Continuity Awareness Week in the region.
