Includes specific guidance on business continuity competencies.
National Occupational Standards (NOS) ‘describe competent performance in terms of outcomes. They allow a clear assessment of competence against nationally agreed standards of performance, across a range of workplace circumstances for all roles.’
NOS are viewed by public sector managers ‘as an indispensable tool for managing a highly skilled workforce’ and ‘are used widely to support individual and organisational development and quality assurance at all levels.’
Skills for Justice has made a new set of National Occupational Standards available, which relate to the civil contingencies sector and which include specific guidance for business continuity competencies.
The NOS for Civil Contingencies are particularly relevant to category 1 and 2 responders. More details at http://www.skillsforjustice.com/template01.asp?PageID=594
