HP developing new business continuity facility in Rugby, UK

Get free weekly news by e-mailHewlett Packard Business Continuity Recovery Services has commissioned Sentrum, a specialist in data centre solutions, to develop its latest business continuity facility in Rugby, Warwickshire.

The 50,000 sq ft facility will operate across two floors and provide 450 work-area recovery positions, 5,000 sq ft of data centre space, plant rooms, three substantial meeting rooms, additional break out areas, and a privately accessed server room ensuring maximum security.

The new Rugby facility will replace two HP legacy sites as well as enabling it to increase its business continuity offering in the area.

Rugby was selected because it is considered to be a developing hi-tech location and is also equi-distant to the two existing recovery centres which it will replace.

The project will be complete by the end of March 2009.
