The Leeds Alert Scheme allows business subscribers to receive vital information direct from the Police in the event of emergency incidents such as terrorism, flooding, gas explosions, severe weather, protest demonstrations or incidents affecting the transport network. Leeds Alert subscribers can receive the message via a variety of methods including SMS mobile text messaging or email.

The event, to be held from 9:30am until midday on 23rd September, will promote the importance of business continuity and there will be guest speakers including representatives from West Yorkshire Police, Leeds City Council’s Peace and Emergency Planning Unit, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Vocal Communications Ltd; the providers of the Leeds Alert Scheme. Vocal will specifically outline the improvements to the Leeds Alert scheme. These include a brand new secure online forum where Leeds businesses can share business continuity information and best practice with each other.
