The Business Continuity Institute has announced that next year’s UK and Europe Business Continuity Awareness Week will take place between 23rd and 27th March.
Business Continuity Awareness Week was launched in 2001 and has taken place annually since then.
The main focus of the week is to encourage business continuity managers to raise awareness with colleagues and clients and show the growing importance of BCM as an integral management tool.
Reed has announced that its 2009 Business Continuity Expo will again take place during Business Continuity Awareness Week, on 24th and 25th March 2009.
Why is the BC Awareness week and the Expo held at the end of March? From a business point of view it is far from perfect: i.e its in a financial year end period, this makes it harder to take time out to plan and run BC events, or attend the Expo (although many do find the time). Just a thought - but perhaps May would be a better time for all?
