Company looking for partners in business continuity market

Avamar Technologies, Inc., an Irvine, CA, based company is seeking partners who are active in the business continuity market to resell its new and ‘very unique’ backup/restore and DR solution.

Avamar’s description of itself and its solution is as follows:

Avamar Technologies, Inc. is leading a new wave of innovative solutions that deliver increased value for secondary storage. Founded in Irvine, California, in 1999, Avamar provides enterprises with data management solutions to control the information explosion. Avamar Axion is a scalable appliance for enterprise data protection that provides online accessibility, while efficiently storing and protecting valuable information assets.

Avamar markets its solutions through its direct sales, services, and support organizations, as well as selected business partners and OEMs.

Headquarters are located in Irvine, California, with sales offices in San Francisco, Austin, Boston, Washington DC, and New York.

Avamar Axion family - one complete solution
Today's enterprise often faces a range of data protection challenges, from large mission critical servers in the data centre to multiple small systems at remote branch offices. Axion M and Axion E can be combined to provide flexible coverage for all of an enterprise's data protection needs.

Axion M can be deployed in enterprise data centers to provide scalable, high-performance data protection for everything from large-scale OLTP servers to desktops and laptops. With its high-availability Redundant Array of Independent Nodes (RAIN) architecture, Axion M can be mirrored from one data center to another, providing disaster recovery for all protected systems.

In addition with Avamar's highly efficient software and intelligent client agents, an enterprise can protect remote systems by backing them up directly to an Axion M system, even over congested WAN networks.

In widely distributed environments, the need for fast, local restores at remote office locations can be a paramount requirement, but the limited availability of highly skilled IT resources can make consistent management a real challenge. Avamar designed the Axion E appliance to combine fast local restores with remarkable ease of management and deployment. Multiple Axion E systems can be quickly installed to protect local systems at remote branch offices, and they can still be centrally protected and managed by a single Axion M Server, using Axion Replicator.
