On the 18th & 19th June 2008, around forty business continuity managers will gather to work with a panel of leading authorities to develop a road-map of how business continuity management will continue to develop during the next three, five and even ten years. The Business Continuity Institute is hosting a ‘Masters Workshop’ that will enable delegates to share their experiences and make informed judgments of the impact of the many factors affecting the resilience of organisations, from emerging threats and the current economic challenges to the impact of new technologies.

Over a period of two days the programme for the Masters Workshop includes a number of expert-led discussions addressing topics such as:

* New threats; new risks
* The demands of globalisation
* Challenges and opportunities from new technologies
* Government involvement, legislation & regulatory control
* BCM as a profession; or BCM as a corporate capability
* Will ‘corporate resilience’ displace BCM?
* Future drivers of BCM
* The economics of BCM.

Attendance is by invitation with a limit of just forty delegates, and the BCI is aiming to have no more than one person per organisation in order to ensure the widest possible representation from all sectors.

Potential delegates may apply to join the Workshop by sending an email to workshops@thebci.org or by calling the BCI on 01189 478215.
