Singapore taskforce to promote corporate resilience

Get free weekly news by e-mailXinhua has reported that Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister S. Jayakumar has announced that the Singapore government will set up an inter-agency taskforce to help businesses strengthen their corporate resilience.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that the taskforce will be led by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and involves other key agencies, such as the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as the Finance Ministry.

The announcement was made at ‘National Security Dialogue: Strengthening Corporate Resilience’, an event which took place on 21st May and was organized by the Singapore Business Federation and the National Security Coordination Secretariat .

Amongst other things, the taskforce will develop and implement strategies to encourage more companies to adopt the existing national business continuity standard (Technical Reference 19 Business Continuity Management Standard (TR19)).
