CIR Magazine has announced that the 2008 Business Continuity Awards will take place in London on 8th May 2008, with the deadline for all entries being 15 February 2008.
The 2008 categories will include three new awards: Outstanding Achievement in Business Continuity (over the last 10 years); Data Centre Excellence Award; and Business Continuity Team of the Year.
The full list of categories is as follows:

- Outstanding Achievement in Business Continuity (over the last 10 years)
- Business Continuity Strategy of the Year
- Most Effective Recovery of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement
- Crisis Strategy of the Year
- Business Continuity Service Provider of the Yea
- Business Continuity Management Planning Software of the Year
- Data Centre Excellence Award
- Business Continuity Team of the Year
- Industry Personality of the Year
- Business Continuity Consultant of the Year
- Excellence in Business Continuity in the Insurance Industry
- Public Sector Continuity Manager of the Year
- Student of the Year
- Most Innovative Product of the Year
- Industry Newcomer of the Year.
