Network set-up to support business continuity managers in UK universities and higher education establishments

A new network has been established in the UK to support business continuity managers in universities and higher education establishments. HEBCoN (The Higher Education Business Continuity Network) has been developing at pace since its first meeting on the 28th June. Since then it has had a further national meeting, formed a steering group and applied for funding to develop guidance for higher education business continuity managers based on BS 25999.

HEBCoN aims to meet every three months and will:

- Review national trends and directives
- Discuss best practice
- Review national developments.
