The Irish Branch of the Emergency Planning Society (EPS) is presenting a conference on emergency planning for the Dublin financial services district on Thursday November 15th.
The venue is the Irish Stock Exchange and the event starts at 09.00 finishing at 13.00.
The objective of the conference is to increase awareness about risks and emergency planning for Dublin’s financial services district. It will feature what is being done in terms of preparedness by the Gardai, the RPA and Dublin City Council and will identify what business and other organisations should be doing now in terms of business continuity.
The speakers include:
- Michael Conway, chair, Irish Branch EPS
- Tony Maguire, project manager SAFER Project (Strategies and Actions for Emergency Flood Risk Management), Dublin City Council
- Con O'Halloran, Garda inspector, Store Street Garda Station
- Ciaran Browne, utilities diversion project manager , RPA (Luas)
- Steve Jarrett, treasury and security services resiliency and IT risk management director, J.P. Morgan.
Michael Conway says: “There are a multitude of issues that surround Dublin’s most sensitive and dense business district. The Emergency Planning Society is holding the first of a series of educational events to bring awareness to those that would be impacted by an incident in the financial services area. This will allow for effective planning for emergencies or disasters affecting businesses located in the area.”
